Monday Workout

I wanted to do a pyramid today but amidst much whining and down right rebellion, we didn’t do it. It was ok with me because my arms were still a bit sore from Friday. We ran a mile outside thaks to Grady’s suggestion and then did a round robin workout. I was surprised that there were eight there on New Year’s Eve.

I’m now debating whether or not I should run this afternoon or not. I’m doing a race tomorrow and I think I really want my knees to be fresh for that.

Got on the bike for 45 minutes. Just wasn’t into it today.

Saturday Beach Run

Wow. I was surprised at the pace I was able to keep during this run. Ran mostly with Bill until the end when he joined some folks who passed us. Just a little twinge of pain during the last 1/2 mile. Felt very normal out there running.

Friday Workout

Only four of us today. Ran a mile and then worked with the body bars. I attempted to work us until our arms fell off. I didn’t feel it then but I do now! Lot of work on the arms and then we switched to abs using body balls and medicine balls. Did some of the stability/leg exercise that were part of my rehab.

The Post Christmas Workout

There were 11 that showed up today to work out together. I was pretty surprised. After stretching we did spring jogs for 20 minutes. I don’t know how far I ran but after I was able to warm up a bit, I felt pretty good. Then we did a round robin workout. Everybody chooses an exercise and then counts for everyone else. It was a good variety of exercises.

Monday Pyramid

Seven of us showed up today to workout together. We did a pyramid of squats, push-ups, and crunches to 15 and back down again. Ran a mile at the beginning and a 1/2 mile at the end. If you’re counting, that’s 225 reps of each exercise. I feel bad for those that will be assembling toys with the muscle soreness kicks in.

I’m Back!

I’ll take this run! Feels so good to get back out there and feel like my legs are catching back up to my lungs. There was a twinge at each footstrike but I don’t think it caused me to limp.

Just Couldn’t Get Out There

Spent time working on the new club website today with every intention of running a few miles this afternoon. By the time I realized what time it was, I only had time for 30 minutes on the treadmill.
